Calculate Your Waist-to-hip Ratio

-Result of the calculation is to get the Waist-to-hip Ratio (WHR).
-Waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) is an indicator used to assess your risks of cardiovascular  disease,  type 2 diabetes, hypertension and other health conditions.
-People with a lot of abdominal fat look more like an “apple” and are thus at increased risks  of  chronic diseases.
-People with larger hip circumference look more like a “pear” and have lower risks of chronic  diseases.

Tips for accurate measurements
• Stand relaxed. Measure you waist at its narrowest point between the lower rib and the top of    the hip bone or at the midpoint in between. Do not suck in your belly.
• If you can’t find the narrowest point (it may be difficult if you’re overweight), measure just    above the belly button.
• Measure you hip at the widest part of your buttocks as viewed from the side.

Bring cooking water to a boil before adding vegetables. Allowing water to heat up slowly with the vegetables in it destroys more nutrients.
Better yet, steam or microwave vegetables just until crisp-tender.
